[Abstract]: As a special phenomenon in human social life and a cultural phenomenon, advertising is bound to be restrained and affected the culture that it belongs to. With a long history, Chinese traditional culture is far-reaching. Modern Chinese commercial advertisements, rooted in such a cultural environment, imperceptibly inherit and utilize our traditional culture. Meanwhile, modern advertisements should not only affect consumer mentality in culture efficiently, but also learn from our traditional culture. In order to improve advertisement designing and lead Chinese advertisements to the world, it is of great significance to grasp Chinese consumer mentality and habits properly by studying the effects that Chinese traditional culture has on modern advertisement.
