When a boy was taking his father’s meal to the factory,he stopped for a moment to watch a workman cleaning the sewer ( 下水道 ).
The boy said interestedly,” My mother dropped her gold watch down here yesterday.”
The workman’s eyes became wide.“ Well,my boy,” he said.“ Get along with you.”
An hour later,the boy came back.“ Are you quite sure there was a gold watch here?” Asked the workman.
“I’m quite sure.” Answered the boy with a smile.“ Because I saw my father got it out.I saw it with my own eyes.”

一个小男孩跑去给在工厂里上班的爸爸送饭,当他看到一个工人在清理下水道的时候,他停了下来看了一会.
他饶有兴致地说：“我妈妈的金表昨天掉到这里面去了.”
那个工人一下子就睁大了眼睛,说：“哦,我的孩子,”他说.“我才不信呢.”
一个小时过去了,男孩回来了.“你真的确定你妈妈的金表是掉到这里啦?”那个工人问他.
“非常肯定.”男孩微笑着回答说,“因为我亲眼看到我父亲在这里把金表找出来的呢.”
补充：get along with有两种意思,字面意思是走开,到一边去,另外一种则是我才不相信呢.个人认为这里应取第二种意思.
