一道英语的好想是虚拟语气的题
If there ) no atmosphere,the earth would be cold and lifeless like the surface of the moon.这句话括号中用什么?是Were?还是Was?还是什么?为什么?

我个人认为应该是 was.
这个clause里的 noun 其实是 atmosphere. Atmospere 是大气层,是 uncountable 的.
If there was no atmosphere 是 subbordinate clause.
因为它如果单独写,就不是一个完整的句子.
偶在英语教学的国家读书,有一些单词不知道咋用华文来说.
